The village of Waalre was originally a textile hub, and at the beginning of the 1900s the De Brink family resided next to their own linen factory
(now the Waalre Textile Museum). The developers, also a family company originally from Waalre, saw the once majestic building going to ruin. It had been uninhabited for 60 years and cast a shadow on Waalre’s pretty market square.

By preserving the original glory of the heritage monument and making De Brink a space available to the public for business events and celebrations such as workshops, trainings or even weddings, the real estate family Fick has lovingly returned a jewel to the heart of Waalre in the form of this beautifully, carefully restored historical home.
